It’s BANANAS!

  It’s BANANAS! We left the beautiful island of Portete and said goodbye to the sweet animals, the walks on the beach, the naps in the hammocks, and finally, the mosquitos. We learned a lot there - about things we want for our future and things we don’t…along with being provided with a lot of time to just be and do the things we want to do. Most importantly, we learned how to assassinate mosquitos - feel free to reach out to Condor for technique and details.  After leaving the beach, we made our way toward the capital of Ecuador, Quito, to explore this area for a week before our next WorkAway. We ended up back at 10,000 feet and in the beautiful Andes, just in a different country. We started at Quilotoa Lake, a massive crater with stunning turquoise waters. Mountains or Beach?

  Mountains or Beach? Hello all from Ecuador!  It has been awhile since the last post… you can blame that one on the lazy, beach vibes here. We are currently on the coast of Ecuador on a small island called Portete right off the main land. It is beautiful, serene, and very low key compared to the Southern California beaches we are used to. And also a very different change of pace from the rest of our journey so far. Our current “job” is to house-sit and care for 2 sweet dogs and 1 adorably feisty cat while their owner is away. Not a bad gig. We have been enjoying some down time and getting the opportunity to practice and integrate all that we learned in Peru. It has already been over 3 weeks since getting here.. so let me catch you all up! Some miscellaneous things so far here: Our host is from Lebanon and super well-traveled.
